Fit is acceptable for sure. The tor box is generous and cavernous but still holds my foot in place. It is a touch tight in the vamp area. It is also a touch long in my opinion. As such I think an 8.5E would have fit slightly better fit than the 9D. There was just EEE or D at the time and I didn't want to go EEE. Break in was very minimal. And they were pretty soft and comfy from the get go

Fit is about as good as I could get with an Oxford. The wider toe box is really good for my feet and I don't get a really wide V in the facings. They were quite stiff to begin with and I had a touch of pressure on my baby toe but it's subsided quickly!

This is the best fitting shoe I own. I have a wide forefoot and the wider more rounded toe box accomodates this without being loose. The waist of the shoe is snug without being tight. The only issue, potentially, is the heel is not that form fitting/snug so especially on the first few wears there will be noticeable. I wear more dress style socks and the 8.5 is a great fit in terms of length and width. Break in occurs within probably 4-5 wears of a couple hours each.

Fit is generous for sure. With thick socks it is a more snug fit but squeezes my toes a bit due to the narrower toe box. With mid weight socks I have to be rather careful of tying them rather tight to get a good fit and not have the laces come undone. There was very little break in but that could change with updates to the build of this boot.

I currently am wearing a 8.5E as it was a used purchase from a friend who didn't fit into them. They definitely are a touch long and a little bit narrow as my foot spills over the welt just passed the waist of the boot. I use them as a daily, casual shoe, mostly walking on concrete or paved paths around town or at the office. I've applied Smith's leather balm every 3-4 months. I wear them more than most of my shoes as they are more rugged and I don't worry about damaging them.

A much better fit than the 2030 for my foot that has a higher instep and bridge area. The boot is the most overbuilt of my stitched footwear and the upper leather is very substantial. As such they have a stiffer feel than other boots so far. The boot is verging on tight on the ball of my feet and in the vamp area. Further the heel is not the most comfortable of my boots. Perhaps with wear the heel will break in / form more to my foot. I have a couple dozen wears on them for at least a few hours at a time and they are starting to feel more and more comfortable. The boot could be a touch wider to fit my ball and maybe a .25 size shorter
