Standard & Strange recommends going a full size down from Brannock. I went half-size down to 7, since it was the smallest they had in stock. The fit is good, but I have a feeling their recommended 6.5 would be better. On mine, cinched up, the facings come pretty close together along their lengths, pretty much touching at the top at my thinner ankles. Tightened up like this, the fit is quite good. Again, though, it's possible the recommended 6.5 would be more ideal. If I order another color in this pattern, I may try 6.5.

Of all my 2030's, these seem to be snuggest (also applies to the reverse navy latigo version), though I'd likely still get the same size were I to buy them again. The length is spot on, just a bit snugger than most of my other 2030's other than length. With these, I usually wear thinner (light cushion) Darn Tough socks. I can (and do occasionally) wear medium thickness socks, but thinner is more ideal with these.

I ordered these in my ideal 2030 size (I'm a Brannock 7.5E), and they fit great. I have two 1035 makeups including this one, the other being Rivet & Hide Reverse Tobacco Chamois that fits similarly.

These are an excellent fit, wider up front than 2030, instep seems a bit more snug but in a good way on my standard instep height. I ordered in the same size as I order Viberg 2030, 2045, 1035, and would do the same again for 2055.

I ordered this 2045 makeup in the same size as my ideal 2030 size, and it's a very good fit. Of course, as an EE width last, it's a little roomier than the 2030, but still a great fit on me (I'm Brannock 7.5E).

The fit on my feet (Brannock 7.5E) is excellent, and I have the instep strap cinched down to the second-from-tightest hole. The fit for me is the same as my Mr. Lou (in brown horsehide CXL).

I absolutely love this boot. It's my first engineer, and it certainly won't be my last. The fit on my feet (Brannock 7.5E) is excellent, and I have the instep strap cinched down to the second-from-tightest hole. The fit is the same as with my Wesco Boss 7500 (British Tan Domane leather).

If I had it to do all over again, I *might* order it in the same size...or maybe a half-size larger. The toe box profile on the Axe Breaker (a Hendrik variant by Standard & Strange) is *low*. The length is great, but my left big toe tends to touch the top of the toe box sometimes. This may change with more wear, per Standard & Strange. Given how generally normal my feet are in shape and proportion (other than being E width at forefoot), I think Standard & Strange's half-size-down recommendation may lead to toe-touching-top fit for some. (I've seen other reviews that suggest this, too.) Again, because the length is otherwise right, I might order these in the same size again in a different makeup.... Or I might go half-size bigger.
