These fit exactly right, although I think pattern-wise there is too much room around the ankle. I have been using these as work shoes (winemaker) and they have been covered in all kinds of chemicals with the occasional wine splash. They have held up fantastically because the leather is incredibly resilient. They are finally broken in, but the break-in was the most painful of any boot I have owned because the ostrich is so tough and moves so differently. It chafed at the heel and ankle constantly until it began to stretch to the shape of my foot more recently. Now they are very comfortable and fit my foot and ankle just great.
