I followed Andrew's advice (the owner) and sized 1/2 down from Brannock. These were a perfect fit. The leather was supple and the soles required no break in whatsoever. The patina is developing nicely with time. These are my go-to boots when I can't decide what to grab.

I fit into a 9D, but 8.5D was a more snug fit that I prefer. The leather was comfortable immediately out of the box, but the sole required a month before the cork formed to my feet. There isn't much shock absorption as the soles are thin, but the boots did become more comfortable/flexible with time.

Stiff but comfortable out of the box. Break in was easy, with no hot spots. The 2030 last is a bit narrow for my taste, but the boot is still comfortable. The Ridgeway sole is grippier than Dainite on wet surfaces. The leather is darkening and developing a nice patina with wear.

The 310 last is my favorite Viberg last (I own 2030 & 1035 as well). There is plenty of toe volume. The sprung toe makes walking very easy. There was zero break-in, no hot spots... the boot was good to go out of the box.

Review

The 1035 last is my favorite low volume service boot last that Viberg makes. It looks sleek, but still has enough width in the toe area to be comfortable all day long. While the 2030 looks nice, it feels a bit tight for me to wear all day. The boot that I have in this particular make up was stiff out of the box (leather) but still comfortable. Like all Vibergs I've owned, there was no break in.
