They are acceptable for daytime wear, but they don't have a shank so my arch does get fatigued over the 6 hour mark. I utilized Bick4 to condition and Bick LP to weatherize. Horse hair brush after every use and a cedar shoe tree to maintain shape. Thick wool sock with a liner to prevent movement.

Horween Color #8 CXL. Consistent brush out and always stored with a full large cedar boot tree. Sole is dainite so its rather stiff still and a clacker. Only wear with a medium weight wool sock.

Burnished Ebony Leather ankle boots. Lace up. Leather upper. Rubber sole. 100% leather. Made in: italy. Fully lined with felt for cold weather.

With the full felt lining I can only wear during temperate climate with a thin wool sock. Tightens up nicely around arch but first couple weeks of wear caused blisters on the pinky toe and too tight in toe box. Has broken in nicely since then. Lexol clean/condition once, cream polish and brush out. Consistent brush out after wear and a full cedar boot tree for storage.

Very tight right off the bat. I knew that the old leather would need significant work in and conditioning. These specific pair of boots are the 75th anniversary, and are stamped with a production date of the 49th week of 1993. So while they are immaculate, the leather will need some care to bring back to life.
