I wanted a dressier shoe that I could also wear casually too. I am still in the process of breaking these in but I think if I would have had an 11.5 EE the break in process might be different. They are still a little tight but should loosen more as I put wear on them.

These were something I felt to be a social responsibility item in supporting craftsmen in another country. They fit comfortably right out the box. The break in process is quickly compared to my Goodyear welted shoes as these are Blake stitched making them comfy quicker. I do need to put more wear in them though. I have only put about 60 hours into them. I think they will get better and better until I need to get them resoled. These are 12’s while my Brannock is 11.5.

I have three pair of Iron Rangers. My 8111’s are the ones I’m mentioning here. I bought them as factory seconds and was able to try on multiple pairs to find these. The fit is great and as I continue to break them in they only get more comfortable. I could probably wear an 11.5 if I were to try on enough pairs or just get the 2E off the bat.

I tried both size 12 and 13. The 12 was uncomfortably narrow and made my foot numb within a few minutes the 13 seemed ok but as I’ve being wearing them they have loosened to where I need to be sure to wear thicker socks. Unfortunately the store did not have more than one of each size. I think if I could have tried another pair of the 12’s, they might have been better.

These were a little tight at first but as I’ve worn them and they’re breaking in they have become more comfortable. The removable insole is a nice touch as you can put one in that is thinner or thicker to suit your needs.
