The fit well, plenty of toe box room, maybe a hair long but not enough to go down a half size. Didn't take long to fully break in, seems the insole is softer, maybe not oak tanned (color appears white) but plenty of thickness, but not in a bad way. This boot has been comfortable out of the box, break in Didn't hurt for weeks like others and the generous toe box helps. The sole does add considerable weight. Not sure if the kiltie helped or hurt with break in as they were worn from the start. I use them around the office and house as a light duty work boot on concrete. They will be used and not babies, and I expect to hold up fine from what I have seen. Out of the box the natural Chromexcel was treated with a light coat of Obanaufs as an initial treatment, from here on it will get Bick 4 to keep the color lighter. As others have said, the construction is top notch...I cannot find a single stitch out of place, or a piece of leather minutely miscut...they are literally perfect and I would not hesitate to recommend Grant Stone because of this experience. These are the best value in well made boots.

Fit is very comfortable, lots of support, HNW last is about perfect for me. Like all Nick's breaking was brutal. Used for manual labor around house and office. After a year of use, saddle soap and one coat of Obanauf's, will use Bick 4 in the future.

Little wide in ball, comfortable in heel, short on length. Used inside, on concrete. Everyday office wear. Minimal break in effort. Will attempt to add a little more toe bump with some stretching and application of a weakened alcohol to open up the leather in this section

Fit is great for a loafer. Snug in forefoot, grips heel well. Blake stitch breaks in easy. Comfortable to wear in office and with or without socks.

These fit me well almost perfect in my opinion. Lots of toe box room in the #8 last. Break in, like most Red Wing boots was down right painful...but once broken in they are a dream to wear...almost a right of passage. These are worn with jeans and khakis around home, office and farm and on concrete. Concrete does cause issues if on my feet all day, but outside they are great. Sole may be considered a little on the thin side as you can easily feel rocks beneath your feet. Out of the box I treated the upper with Obanaufs and will allow a patina to develop on this beautiful leather. Will treat with Bick 4 as needed to keep patina and avoid darkening of leather from here out. This is the boot to get for a blue jean boot but is more on the casual side due to toe bump.

The toebox is surprisingly generous, and I believe a 12 might be too short. Break in saw shorter than expected and a little more comfort out of the box. Use is around office with some labor, mostly on concrete. Care is mostly on the natural welt, have treated it with Bick 4 to maintain natural color. Have done nothing to the upper and have no intention. Update...after wearing for a week they are too long and will be replacing with a size 12D

These were my 1st PNW boots...just a tad too big but can fill them up with thick socks. Actually a 12.5d...but there is no option for this size.

I wear these with orthotics with enough room, they are light duty boots, and as such are very easy to break in. Most of my boots get the same care...initial Obanaufs then Bick 4 every year unless dried out, then more often. Dry brush when necessary.
