  Alden knocks it out of the park with the unlined version of this. One could say it runs a little long, but from my experience, wearing them sockless or with no-shows decreases that issue. Exceptionally versatile.

  Van last is pretty weird. Loafers need to fit snug in the heel to avoid too much slipping so even though I'm technically a brannock size 8E, these loafers in 8C fit better than the ones I tried in store that were 7.5D. My heel in particular is pretty narrow so it works well, and going up a size really helped with the toe box room. I would say the least comfortable thing about the loafers are the instep. My instep isn't even particularly large and I feel like the top of my feet get squeezed even without socks. Still, this is a classic style and I would give it a 10/10 recommendation.
