  This was my first GYW shoe, and I remember being taken aback by how long it took to break in. I reserve these shoes for special occasions, so they've probably only gotten 50 wears in ~10 years. That means they're still in impeccable condition and I look forward to another 10 years!

  7.5D: Fits well through the heel and midfoot, but the edges of my big toe and 4th toe rub the side of the shoe. 8D: vamp touches the top of my foot when flexing.

  Easiest to break in. They felt extremely comfortable at the store but after standing and walking in them for a while, my right pinky was getting squishes against the outside due to a bunion on my right foot. I had to get it stretched out by leather worker around that pinky area. Other issue is that the back really rubs the back of my ankles raw if I wear them without socks (which I really like to do because of how they look and feel barefoot)!

  I believe I have a somewhat narrow heel and slightly low instep. 7.5D on the 65 last fits well. Very minimal heel slip at the beginning of the day, and no heel slip as my foot expands as the day goes on.

  I have a low volume foot and narrow heel with wide-ish toes. This shoe is too narrow at the big toe, though it fits perfectly over the top of the foot with just a little bit of space left for lace closure. I can only wear it with thin socks. 10D is much too small. A larger width (10.5D) is too roomy in the instep, as is the 11D. I aim to try 11B and 11.5B in the future.

  65 last runs narrow. Flat feet with low instep will probably require one size wider to get adequate lacing closure. I am a measured 11D but the lacing is to wide in that size due to the narrow nature of the last.
