Leo LAST

The Leo last fits half a size full in length and width. Most customers will go down half a size from their average sneaker or dress shoe size (Brannock), wearing the same size as most of their GYW boots.
Additional widths are offered, including E & EEE. The wider widths increase volume in the instep and ball area.
When moving into a EEE, remember to go down in size. For example, someone who measures 10.5 on a Brannock may wear the following sizes comfortably. Note, length is added when grading E and EEE widths.

These are a little long for my liking, and they give a slight pinch in the toes. I have roman feet. My next 2 Grant Stone purchases have been in 8E and fit great. Toe box feels amazing in the 8E Leo and Floyd.

Got advice from Giovanni from Grant Stone to order 9.5E. Fits perfect for me. Width is great for my wider feet. The longer tongue is digging into my shin slightly. Just needs to break-in. First day was a bit tough, but towards the end of the day the leather is definitely less stiff.

I own 3 pairs of Grant Stone boots/shoes, all on the Leo last. I took a size down from my brannock (9.5D/E). I feel like they could have a little more room in the toe box but otherwise fit pretty well. Perhaps I should look into the E width for my next purchase.

Extremely stiff, painful break in. Tight grain breaks. This was before I realized my brannock heel to ball is actually 9E. Could go up half a width I assume.

These look great. I bought these when I was experimenting with different grant stone sizes and previously bought 10.5E and they were a little tight on my instep so for these I went up to an 11E. They fit well with some thicker socks but I bought some additional grant stones later and realized the 11D was a better fit. Love grant stone boots and shoes.

This boot made me fall a little bit in love with Grant Stone. The kudu leather is amazing, the construction is faultless and they just feel comfortable and solid. The fit is quite right, although the next time I ordered a Leo last boot, I went down a half-size. The difference is mainly that this pair will see more use through the winter as a thick sock-boot, while my Tan Essex pair in 11EEE will be for thin socks.

9.5E would probably have been my ideal size in this boot, but that size was already sold out. 10E still fits me well. In general, I find the instep on Grant Stone shoes/boots to be a little more snug than on some other brands, at least on the Alexander and Leo lasts.
