602 LAST

This boot was built on the 602 last which usually translates into going a half size down from Brannock sizing if you're a standard (D) width foot. If you're between a standard (D) width and slightly wider forefoot, we suggest going with your Brannock size. The 602 last features include a rounder, more voluminous toebox along with a tapered arch and heel. Opening up into a single E width in the forefoot and toebox, there will be a decent amount of breathing room and additional flexibility to wear the socks of your preference. A higher instep angle will also help to accommodate those looking for additional vertical room.

I am really a size 8.5E or 9.0E. I got a size 9.5D hoping I would like the fit. The width was ok for a wider foot, but compromising the length made me decide not to favor these boots over others in my closet. If your feet are barely on the wider side of a D width, these will fit you great. If you are on the EE side of a an "E" width, you may find these too narrow, like I did. The toe box did feel roomy compared to some other D widths.

I use these for work, the length is way too short, in-step definitely isn't correct. Not Parkhursts fault but the boot doesn't flex right at all! I think I blew the size of this last out due to an incorrect fit, combined with Horween's tendency to have leather that stretches. I imagine I gained 30% in volume and I wore too thick of socks to stop sliding. The leather patina's nicely, stitching and everything seems great with this leather. The toebox is rather narrowed for me. Cleaned with water and a wipe down only, conditioned with Smith's leather balm(twice) and wiped down with water for cleaning. Heavily brushed before and after each wear. They pinch in the toes, and I have a lot of pressure in the ball of my foot. I have to wear thin socks and the only thing going through my mind is wanting to take these off unfortunately. They are a beautiful boot but I definitely purchased the incorrect size. I don't have enough length, and the boot flexes a half size to a full size off. Always stores with trees, I tried 600+ hours of wear to get these to work. Concrete floors at work. I have a video if that tells the story better. If I were to buy again it would be in a different leather. My question is whether or not to buy an 11.5D or a 12D depending on length and flex point? Sometimes going too short is just as bad as too long. Volume I think is only this bad due to large socks in the past and Horween leather, maybe too big of boot trees. All contributing to too much volume, not enough length, and exasperated by a highly physical job.

Definitely size down on these. I took a chance on some second hand in 10D (same as my Brannock) and they were too big. Still wearable but noticeable not right. 100% on me. Shoe quality is top notch though. These will last forever and look great.

I debate whether the Parkhurst lasts run true to size or a half size large. I have no complaints going down a half size from Brannock because the width in the quarter area is very generous but I feel these boots are a half size shorter compared to Alden Barrie/Trubalance lasts. I feel like a 9D would work with Parkhurst with thicker socks, but 8.5D is a great fit and is technically correct as far as heel to ball measurements go. I just can't wear super thick socks with the 8.5's.

I have found Parkhurst to be fairly true to size. I have the Allen in 602 last in three boots - moose, dark brown waxy commander, and dark roast dublin. I have a low instep, measure slightly over a 13, between a D and E. Size 13 in the 602 last fits my foot perfectly. It feels exactly like my Allen Edmonds Higgins Mill in 13D. I included a picture of the Parkhurst (dark brown waxy commander) and Higgins Mill (brown CXL) side by side for reference. 13 in Parkhurst is the same as 13D in Higgins Mill in all dimensions.

These are amazing boots! I was looking for a brown waxed flesh boot that could develop some really great character as the rough-out begins to show through. Spoke several times with Andrew via email regarding sizing and he is fantastic! Unfortunately, I had bad information on my own Brannock size which led to me picking up a pair of these that are about half a size too big. Completely my fault! I'll definitely be purchasing more boots from Parkhurst.

Love the grey blue color of the kudu on these. The boots are unlined and the kudu leather is fairly thin but the boots are comfortable after break in. Kudu breaks in quickly. Love wearing them with denim. Uses the older Parkhurst last.

I really like that Andrew went to a full leather insole. The Chromepak Leather is great dress leather in my opinion because it takes a beating and doesn’t show that much wear. My toes are a bit crammed up front but I believe the newer build and last pretty much fix that problem. Great small brand and awesome owner!

I bought these in an 11 to wear to work and quickly found out I really need a 10.5. As the 11s broke in, they got too loose and my foot moves around a lot inside the boot, especially my right foot. Additionally, though my black spruce kudu in 10.5 fit snug, but comfortable, my Color 8 Dublins are too snug and give me horrible blisters. I'm hesitant to purchase more pairs as the last seems inconsistent for me.
