Very comfortable and snug around the ball of the foot. The boot feels long or rather feels as though it has a lot of space up front. Leaves a little to be desired in terms of bespoke fit. Will tend to wear with thicker boot socks.

1. My most comfortable pair of boots to date. Love this leather. Wish the sole was not dainite. Pair is pretty much perfect. However there are variations in the panels with some more "rough" while some more smooth." Virtually no break in. Wore them for over 8 hours on their first outing. Purchased in 4/2021 2. This pair also fits great, the leather feels like nubuck. Very unique leather. Heard it is also called "fango" with good patina potential. Ridgeway sole. Haven't worn these pair outdoor yet. Construction is great, however tooling marks. Purchased via Marrkt archive sale. Purchased in 7/2021 3. Purchased second hand, also fits great. Already broken in so cannot comment. Beautiful and supple leather.

This pair features the recent modifications to the 2030 last, which result in a much better fit. (I've owned a previous pair in the same makeup and size that was too narrow.) Overall, these are a much better and comfortably snug fit for my 8.5D US feet.

Stiff but comfortable out of the box. Break in was easy, with no hot spots. The 2030 last is a bit narrow for my taste, but the boot is still comfortable. The Ridgeway sole is grippier than Dainite on wet surfaces. The leather is darkening and developing a nice patina with wear.

Not as good a fit as my 2030 Service boots in CXL stitichdown construction. Noticeably tighter across the width. I think the 1035 last from Viberg would suit me better for the same size.

Excellent fit and finish, my boots arrived well QC'd. Over the years I've rotated them through my weekly wears and try to get at least 2 to 3 wears in a week, as they just feel right. Nice weight, good color and construction, the list goes on.

Very thick leather quarters, feels nice and secure around the ankles. The vamp leather is slightly lighter and makes for easier break in and feels more supple. The 2030 last is perfect length and the ball of my foot fits perfectly on the widest part of the footbed. The almond toe shape means that your big toe and small toe are slightly pushed towards the middle of your foot. The result is that the small toe rubs and starts to feel a bit tight after several hours. The last does have good volume for high instep and holds the heel pretty well.

I've had 6 pairs of 2030 service boots in size 9 and they all fit great with medium weight socks. The materials range from horsebutt, horsehide, calf, CXL and kudu. The material type doesn't really affect the sizing IMO.

Solid construction. Very comfy. E width, which means I had to go a half size down from my usual boot size (8D). Actually, these are the only boots that I had the opportunity to try in the store, cool experience. The Chromexcel is a beautiful, supple pull-up leather that molds to my feet in a very good way. Interestingly, this Chromexcel feels better than the one in my Wolverine 1000 Mile, it feels more robust and just higher quality. A couple of things to point out. On the right boot, the last stitch at the end of the stitch down is missing, go figure. Also, my boots did not include the hide laces, I had to buy those... not happy about it. Overall, amazing boots. Take into account 2030 last in the Service boot comes in E width, for me, this implied going down a half size from my already adjusted 8D, this in comparison to the Brannock size. Cheers!

I went down a full size from Brannock and feel it works pretty well for me, to compensate for my C width. Toes are a bit into the taper, but not uncomfortable at all and my ball seems to light up well with the flex point of the boot.

I have 2 pair of 2030 in 8.5 and the fit is good but I realized over time I should be treating Viberg as UK sizing, meaning size 8D is my perfect fit down from 9 brannock.

Horween, Natural Chromexcel, PCT and Danite soles.
Bought used, so no break in required. They fit a little big but with a kiltie the fit is snug but not tight. Previous owner was a size 10, so his foot may have stretched them out a bit.

I've owned about 6 of these and about 50% are too short heel-to-toe in 9.5. This last is generally too wide for me, which prevents me from sizing up to a 10. Narrower longer models work perfectly.

My first pair of horsehide and first Viberg boots. Immaculate stitching and some of the softest leather I have ever had in boots. I debated between the 8 and the 7.5. After conversing with Viberg, they recommended the 7.5. They are snug at the forefoot and my pinky toe on my right foot is snug. No blisters with extended walking, but tighter than I was expecting. Maybe they will stretch with time and wear? Fortunately, the leather is very soft and forgiving. Arch feels quite neutral and footbed may the most comfortable boot I've ever tried.

Socks: Midweight merino wool Misc. Notes: Higher volume right foot; both feet on the cusp of D and E width Not broken in yet After experiencing how comfortable the 310 was even at possibly a half size small, I found myself curious about how Viberg's more conventional looking lasts felt. In particular I was drawn to the 2030 because it seemed like its volume would accommodate my feet well. In this case, I turned out to be right. At half-down (instead of full-down, as recommended by Viberg's website) the ball of my foot lines up right where it should. Though the boot doesn't feel particularly snug in any area, the edges of the balls of my feet do press against the uppers a little which indicates to me that the boot isn't too wide. There's plenty of room for my toes to spread and wiggle. I do like a snug fit (if it's snug in the right ways in the right places) but the slightly roomy fit of the 2030 at half-down is still quite secure and my feet feel like they can breathe, making it one of the most comfortable boots I own. If I had one nitpick it would be that my heel doesn't feel as cupped as it does in my 310's in 6.5, but my heel doesn't shift around side-to-side at all while I walk so it's a minor complaint. Though this particular makeup is an offering on Viberg's website proper, I ordered through Brooklyn Clothing Co. It came in fairly quickly and I'm really hard pressed to find even the smallest of flaws in the construction. The stitching is not only just as fine but incredibly even, with the double rows on the welt lining up almost exactly with each other. I've heard from Viberg enthusiasts that stockists tend to have more stringent QC standards than Viberg's .com and, comparing my two pairs (which is not a good sample size, granted), that seems to lend towards what they say. The Chromepak leather is exactly what I expected based on my experiences with the 310, although somewhat less waxy. In fact, by feel it even more closely resembles the leather in my pair of Truman Ink Cheaha than the Olive Chromepak. Could be that it was indeed infused with less wax, or perhaps it's somewhat older leather. (This speculation is purely philosophical -- the answer won't materially change anything as far as I'm concerned. It's still what I wanted.) I will say that the color of Oak Chromepak is significantly lighter than on Viberg's website and significantly yellower than on BCC's website. In fact, it more closely resembles the picture BCC has of the White's MP-M1 in Yuma Gaucho, and the color of the Yuma Gaucho more closely resembles BCC's picture of the Oak Chromepak. My pictures more accurately reflect that, though of course the lighting there isn't perfect either. I'm not a fan of the look of the ridgeway sole, but that's another minor complaint. I don't make a habit of staring at the soles of my boots, and underfoot it doesn't really differ all that much from my experiences with, say, lug soles, so I don't mind too much. It'll wear away eventually. Overall, I'm beginning to understand the hype for Viberg. I'm not quite there myself, but if I somehow end up having a gap in my collection I won't be writing it off as an option either. Two for two their boots have been incredibly comfortable, attractive, and finely constructed, and their unique leather choices have charmed me.
