These fit really well with thick woollen socks. Very similar fit to an Iron Ranger. The Featherstone leather isn't quite as supple as the amber harness Iron Ranger, so it doesn't mould to your ankle quite the same, if that makes sense. That being said, an 8D with thinner socks would probably work for me too.
