My feet are two different size widths, the right being a 4E and left 3E. I usually wear a 9-10 size boot, depending on manufacturer. I bought a 10EE pair of copper leather 1907's. According to a Red Wing sales rep, one can cheat the width of their 45-last boots by removing the insole (thus, creating more volume for one's foot). I find this set-up to technically work. Although, the boots hard underfoot, not quite wide enough, and slip in the heel.
